Is Indufuels a Scam? Are serial scammers targeting SA?

I just received an email from someone in South Africa asking me to do an Indufuels review. I thought it would have to wait until next week but this website is so bad that I could evaluate it very quickly… so is Indufuels a scam? Yes for sure it is and I will run through it quickly with you to show you why. And also check out my review of Affiliate University of South Africa, because I really suspect it is the same person just coming up with another load of BS to hand to you!

Introduction: What is Indufuels and Affiliate Company SA?

Indufuels claims to be a South African company that specializes in providing green products, specifically Biofuel, tissues and toilet paper. For some strange reason they also have an opportunities to earn money through setting up Google Advertising accounts and email marketing. Does this not sounds strange to you? So they do green products… oh and let’s just throw in some Google stuff and email marketing too. To me this is just plain weird.

what is indufuels

The website was registered in April 2016 and all the owners information is hidden. Just take note that from their website there is just no links to a privacy policy or terms and conditions. In fact there is barely any information at all. You can find a form to fill in that says you must pay R3 200 to register. I filled in their form and I am hoping to have them send me an email soon so I can ask them a lot of questions.

I did the same with Affiliate University of SA and nobody ever came back to me. I think they didn’t like my questions!

The amount of money they claim you can make is just ridiculous… in your first month R50 000 a month and within 3 months R500 000 a month.

With the toilet paper opportunity they say they will provide the machinery to make the toilet paper, plus the materials AND the customer base. Then they have images at the bottom of their page showing their supposed clients. Have a look, they say Twin Saver is one of their clients.

This is just so funny you have to be laughing. So what they are implying here is that they make toilet paper for Twin Saver, one of the most well known and trusted brands. What they can’t keep up with making their own products now that YOU with no experience in the industry will be making toilet paper and selling it to Twin Saver.

Please go and read my article on how to avoid scams online and also the article I wrote on making money fast, easily and on autopilot.

The phone number and the address for their company is a virtual office in Joberg, and when I called them to say that this is possibly a scam they were very upset which is understandable so I told them to come and look at my website. Interesting to note that Affiliate University of South Africa was also running from a virtual office.

Affiliate Company SA loads up when you click on some of the Indufuels links, but you will only notice if you look at the address bar and the logo at the top of the page, otherwise they look the same. This makes me suspicious.

Watch my video while I run through all the problem areas of this so called great business opportunity.

Do you want to know what a REAL small online business opportunity looks like?

Who is Indufuels suitable for?

Nobody, this is without a doubt in my mind a scam. You will pay the R3 200 and never hear from them again.

Indufuels Pros and Cons

Pros

  • The idea of Green Products is lovely… whether there are actually any green products?? Well ummm….

Cons

  • Blatant scam
  • R3200 joining fee is just crazy
  • Not nearly enough information on their website
  • Confusions between Affiliate Company SA and Indufuels… what is going on here?
  • Very likely the same con artists that set up Affiliate University SA

Training/ Tools overview

There is nothing but hype on their website, there is no sign of any training or tools. I am pretty sure when you pay over R3 200 you will never hear from them again, never mind get any help with setting up a business.

Support

I sincerely doubt there will be any support offered here. More like take your money and run.

Is Indufuels a Scam? Is Affiliate Company SA a Scam?

Everything about Indufuels and Affiliate Comapny SA screams of a scam. The worst part is that to me this doesn’t even look like a pyramid scheme where maybe you can make some money back if you jump in first and screw other people. I think this one they just take your money and you never hear anything from them ever again.

My Final Verdict for Indufuels and Affiliate Company SA

You know what I am going to say here right? Run for the hills. Stay far away from this.

From what I can see and what I suspect is that there is not even a shoddy product that you will get. Once they get your money chances are you will never hear from them ever again.

You don’t know who owns this company, you don’t know where they are because they are renting a virtual office space. They will most likely not even attempt to give you a product. The last thing you will ever hear from them is when they give you payment details.

Once again maybe I am wrong, this website has just launched. Maybe I am a complete cow that trashes new businesses like many of my readers suspect…. hey it’s your R3200 so if you want to give it a go by all means go ahead.

I think we have a serious serial scammer in South Africa trying to take us all for idiots!

And once you have done that please come back and let us all know what happened! I would love to get all the details. Unfortunately I am not prepared to hand over R3 200 of my money to test my theory.

What do you think? Is Indufuels a scam or do you think I am unfairly trashing a new business in it’s infancy?

Are you tired of being conned and having your time wasted?

  1. Extortionate sign-up fee, dubious or non-existent product, little information on the owners. All this adds up to – classic scam!
Thank you for exposing them and please continue the great work you do in preventing people from getting ripped off. It’s people like you helping to make the internet a safer place!
    David

    • Thanks David!

I just can’t believe how these people can just set up complete scams like this and get away with it.

      • Hi Lynne my name is sizwe I saw a franchise opportunities which sound to good to be true can you confirm if it’s for real or scam because it’s the same company affiliate this is the company Affiliate Group SA

          • Hi Lynne

Will you please check out Bio Fuels SA now on website…is this still a scam? Good business plan and homework done…seems as if it is an excellent opportunity…

          • Leona I think you should contact Alexander from Innofes and discuss biofuels with him, I have been in personal contact with him. Unfortunately due to my mommy blog keeping me so busy I am not able to review opportunities at this time. I was under the impression that Biofuels was this scam?

  2. Good job Lynne. You have done well by exposing these thieves, just imagine how many people will sign up for these kind of business. Keep up the good work

    Olivia

    • Hi Olivia

I hope nobody signs up, I mean Indufuels is a tacky website with no substance. I would need a lot more professionalism and information before I would part with R3200!

  3. It sounds to me that Indufuels is a scam alright. The confusion between Indufuels and Affiliate of SA and not enough info is a red flag right there. Thanks for the warning and I hope everyone stays away like you suggest.

By the way, how much is R3200 in US dollars?

    • Hi Dinh

Right now R3200 is equivalent to $204.70. Not an amount of money to just throw away lightly in my opinion. And yes everything on this website is a scam warning.

  4. If there were ever a poster child for scam sites, this is it. I feel you are right in trusting your instinct on this one. Thank you for laying out your conclusions in such a clear and concise manner. It really helps when you point out all the scammy details.

    • Hi Juan

Yes this is one of the most blatant ones I have come across, making it so easy to review and warn people about it!

  5. Wow, good Scam catch! I am so glad that you didn’t wait to review this!
I feel like there are many red flags to this scam right in front of your face, but people new to this industry may not know what to look for…I sure didn’t 6 months ago!

    Thanks Lynne!

    • Hi Nicole

Oh I had to do it immediately when I saw what it was, so trashy and badly done that there wasn’t much to check out was there?

Yes, like you say when you know what to look out for it becomes a lot easier.

  6. Great job exposing this website for the scam that they are. It does not make any sense that they would sell green products and marketing at the same time. How often do you think people fall for scams like this? I don’t think I would. Keep up the good work!

    • Well lots of people must fall for it, otherwise the scams would stop wouldn’t they?

I just can’t understand it though why someone would fall for this, I suppose they want to believe it so badly they cant see what is right in front of their eyes. This website claims that within 3 months you can be earning R500 000 per month.

I would also love for that to be true!

  7. Good review. I have never heard of this website and maybe never will. Yet it is always good to know what to look out for. So many people out to make a quick buck regardless of who they hurt.
Keep up the good work; it benefits all of us who use the web

    • Hi John

It is targeting South African’s only so if you aren’t here you probably won’t ever come across it. There is another very similar one I reviewed in January and I really think it is the same person.

Very true, these scams all do the same thing… make promises of riches overnight and people so want to believe in that. I just wish everyone would investigate properly first.

  8. I cannot believe the lengths people will go to and the things they think up to scam people. Toilet paper? Really? That buy-in is crazy! Thank you for continuing to shine the light on these bogus money scams. I hate to think they make money off of people doing this!

    • Hi Heather

LOL Yes it is so bad it is funny! I told my husband about how these people claim you will be selling toilet paper to Twin Saver probably the biggest toilet paper manufacturer. It is quite silly when you really think about it.

  9. I think your bang on with your opinion. No major company is going to deal with a brand new business that is going to have unqualified people produce their products.

Just the fact that this is based in South Africa where they do not abide by the same rules and regulations as North America and Europe. I would take serious action to take a very thorough search all about any company when dealing internationally.

Liked the screen shot on your other post when I followed the link for the Affiliate University of SA from checkpagerank. I use that website for research as well.

    • Hi Traivs

Oh yes I am always checking out websites on checkpagerank, especially when they make such ridiculous claims.

I’ve been continuing to research the link between Affiliate University of SA and Indufuels/ Affiliate Company SA and I have a name now… it is just what people are saying online so I will be researching more before I publish anything.

  10. Hi Lynne,
Really what will people think of next all in the hopes of making money through fraudulent means.

An opportunity for one to make money through the production of toilet paper is ridiculous. Whenever I have the opportunity to read and comment on your excellent reviews posted at your website, and when you discuss the costs involved in South African currency, I go to a site that allows me to convert it to U.S. dollars.

So the price that you mentioned to sign up for this opportunity R 3200 converts to around $212.10 right now in the U.S. Anyone willing to fork over that amount of money to get involved in a business surrounding toilet paper needs to have his/her head examined.

And the possibility to earn R50000 or $3,315 in the first month and up to R 500000 in 3 months – $33,150+ dollars is SCAM all capitalized!

I also tried logging into that other site you mentioned being run by the same shady individual – affiliatecompanysa. The site was not recognized at all revealing a completely blank home page. Yeah, that site is on the up and up! Don’t think so.

Please Lynne keep on doing what you’ve been doing so well lately. Helping to expose the fraud, bogus sites online that look to hook in unsuspecting people into opportunities in which they’d be throwing away their money.

    Jeff

    • Hi Jeff

Thanks, it feels good to be able to help people and I really hope that some people read this before signing up!

I have mixed feelings about doing all these reviews to be honest. What I really want to focus on is bringing out articles on online marketing… how to’s and training. I such a long list of things I want to share with my readers!

But hey people are asking me to do these reviews so I will keep them coming when someone asks.

  11. Another good review.

I might fall for this scam because:
    1. I’ll be given a machine to produce toilet paper.
    2. The toilet paper will be absorbed by major retailers.
    3. I want to have my own business

Thank you for your kind review, revealing the true color for this scammer.

    • Hi Arief

But hopefully you would have asked some questions before paying over a membership fee right?

Yes I think that is exactly what they are doing, targeting people that want exactly that.

      • Hi Lynne

I am looking for opportunities online as well and I came across 3 that sort of tickled my fancy, they are:

        1. IPI by Skybridge – This is a Business Opportunity based in Cape Town, focused on providing entrepreneurs an Opportunity to be in business for themselves but not buy themselves. As a Franchise Business model /Opportunity we focus on driving Opportunity which not only offers a Business but a system which allows for growth and development, in what we believe to be one of the most exciting Business sectors in south Africa. Various Business Opportunities in south Africa are supported by initiatives which sometimes lack the leadership required to manage a successful outcome, however we believe that the IPI Franchise Business Opportunity manages those expectations. If you Live in Cape Town, Gauteng or KZN and are looking for a Business/Franchise Opportunity, perhaps we should be talking. Founded by James Mc Cullum

        2. eLiquours Franchise (R199 000)

        3. Logos Health Products and Machinery (40k – 200k) by GMK group.

Won’t you please do a review on these ‘business opportunities’ 🙂

        Thanking you in advance XOXO

        • Hi Orlane 🙂

I am not really focusing on reviews at this time since my mommy blog has gotten so busy. The eLiquors Franchise honestly looks dodgy and perhaps the next scam by this serial scammer. Where is the registered office address and a landline phone number? A website of that magnitude surely would not be so poorly done and slow to load. It just stinks of a scam to me but I have only spent a few minutes on their website.

Those other two opportunities don’t give much information and in all honesty don’t look appealing.

Do you want to start your own business or do you want to buy into someone else’s business? That is something you should be asking yourself.

  12. Very good review Lynne !
Hopefully you saved some folks from this scam ! It sure deoesn’t seem hard to find scams online !
I enjoyed your video too !

    • Hi Mike

It is a pleasure, these scams are plentiful which is really sad. I search for great opportunities online to share with my readers but all I find is rubbish 🙁

  13. Well, first of all, thank you for bringing these types of companies to our attention. If a company does not respond back to any questions asked regarding their company, then I would already treat it as a scam, provided enough time has been given to them to respond back within. Secondly, all companies should have information provided about them including Privacy Policy, If I were looking to join them and found out that no further information is provided, then I will automatically assume that its a scam and not even bother inquiring any further.

You’re actually doing great service by exposing such companies thus cutting down on time spent by customers researching on such companies so when they do come across them, they can just skip them by.

    • Hi Sara

Yes, those are huge red flags to look out for… but so many people don’t know what to look for and still fall for these things.

I am hoping this scam doesn’t go too far. Thankfully I am ranking right on top for this post so anyone searching online for Indufuels should see this post!

  14. I also received this email. To tell you the truth I was tempted but something was not adding up when I read it. Thanks for the warning.

  15. Hi All,
Just a warning about Indufuels and Affiliate Company. Neither of these companies are registered with CIPC…be wary.

    • Hi Aran

I doubted they would be, it is not the sort of thing scam artists would bother with… but thanks for checking on that!

  16. this thing i had so many thoughts about it because indufuels is same as biofuels when you submit the information on becoming a vendor the is no response. even on the contacts info the is nothing appearing.
i have called them trying to ask some questions from them the guy i spoke to had a Nigerian arc-cent which i believe that is one of them since they are good on conning people

  17. Hi
I came across their website quite by chance. I was tempted until I checked who were the owners and what their physical address was. Neddles to say, I drew a blank. Strangely they do have a standard Bank account which makes me wonder what kind of criteria do our banks use to screen those who open accounts with them. I’m glad to have come across your blog since by now ALL my suspicions are proven right. Thanks for the good and noble work. Please keep it up .

    • Hi Sifiso. I am so glad that you did a little more research and managed to avoid this rubbish!

  18. when you call them, they dont want you to know their offices ,even if you’re
    just around the coner

    • Hey Jacob

I spoke to their “offices” it is a virtual office so they can have an address and everything but they rent it. They are a total scam and I told the people that run the virtual office about this scam and they were abit shocked to say the least. Stay away from them Jacob!

  19. Hi Lynne,
The frustrating thing is I want to build a bio diesel plant on my farm which has a busy road through it and while researching came across these chops! If it was for real it would be ideal for my situation but I felt something was off so googled affiliate group scam bio diesel and sure enough its a blatent scam. Anyway if there is anyone serious with those kind of products please direct me to a proper business site for serious people. Regards Paul

    • It is disappointing isn’t it Paul? So many scams online and so few great opportunities and then when you do find something that looks promising you feel untrusting and nervous to try it out!

I hope you find what you need Paul.

  20. Hi LYNNE

I just came across this scam recently. now that i have read your research, i see it is a total scam though am a bit confused with ‘indufuels’ and ‘the affiliate group’ seems like its same people who reviewed your research and did corrections on them cause they do reply to e-mails,phone calls and are willing to meet you at their offices.
I AM TOTALLY CONFUSED, am in a business of energy and recently started and when you see things like this one gets tricked.
    PLEASE HELP!

    • Hi Samuel

They have changed their details and the information on their website so many times that I just can’t keep up to be honest. I am totally sure that it is the same scam artists from Affiliate University of South Africa that I reviewed at the beginning of this year. They have also changed everything on their website all the time.

I would stay far away from all of them, total scams.

  21. Lynne, you are a STAR!
I saw this so called “biodiesel distribution business opportunity” on this website http://www.affiliategroupsa.com. I contacted Petroleum Industry Association and asked the legitimacy of this company, and they said they don’t know anything about them, they said I should check with Dept of Energy and see if they they are licensed with them or it’s just another scam. However, Dept of Energy hasn’t responded to my 2 emails I sent them. Next week I was planning to fly to Jhb to see these people and find out more about this “opportunity. But now that I see this blog, I’m staying away from them!

Thank you so much for sharing this! You are a REAL STAR!

    • Hi Sphelele

It is a pleasure to warn you all about this rubbish. From the feedback I have been receiving I am sure loads of people are coming across them. I just hope and pray that everyone takes due diligence like you have and look into them a bit closer. It won’t take much to realize there is absolutely nothing legitimate about them!

  22. I have to deal with daily phone calls enquiring if we are associated with them, we produce Biodiesel on a commercial scale in Johannesburg and we cater for bulk clients.. some of them have asked us to assist them in establishing distribution depots and through this demand we developed a turn key almost ‘franchise like’ depot and started advertising it. We DON’T ask money in advance, we build it.. you come and inspect it and we deliver it, then only do we invoice you but people are still reluctant. The value of the damage they do to the industry exceeds the cash lost by individuals who fall for these scams

    • Alexander I am so sorry to hear that these scam artists are causing damage to your company and your industry.

Thanks for the chat today on the phone, it is amazing what you are doing with renewable resources and your company sounds incredible. So I urge anyone with any questions about Biodiesel and Biofuels to contact Alexander Grobler from Innofes directly!

    • Hi Alexander. Can you please tell me more about your industry & opportunities, I’m interested.

      Thanks.

  23. Evening All,

Lynne, this guy has been scamming people since 2009, funny his so young his only 28.

  24. Hi Lynne, I have been reading all these posts regarding Biofuels and I hope you have some info regarding Bio Fuel Venture. They are also a new company looking for biofuel distributors. We are looking into starting up a biofuel distribution centre and would appreciate it if you could look into this one as well.

    • Hi Bev

How far did you get with them? I’m also busy looking up on them.

      • Hi Clayton, sorry for my late reply, I just only saw your post now. We did some homework regarding biofuel adventures, and called their offices in Jo’burg. They did not want to give us details of any biofuel companies that wants to purchase bio fuel from them. They did not answer our question regarding there plant where bio fuels are manufactured. They do have an office, but that does not mean anything. We decided to leave it and we are now. Best to start one’s own biofuel plant.

        • Beverley if you Google their address and all the other scams connected to the same people they are always using a virtual office….

  25. Thank you for your honest opinion Lynne. It is best to stay away then.

    • No problem Bev, just beware there are so many scams out and this person has done multiple scams in South Africa. They all follow the same pattern as this one and Affiliate University SA.

  26. Was doing some research on biofuel business opportunity by the name of “Bio Fuels SA” and found your comment.
There seems to be a strong similarity in modus operandi.
Although the name is different, I got connected to your comment via their banking details which account at FNB nr. 62618530986, branch 254005 is named “AFFILIATE SOLUTIONS”.
The logo (blue/green droplet with inscription “a new generation” is exactly the same except this one has” Bio Fuels” and yours is ” Indufuels”:
Their office is supposedly on corner William Nicol and Leslie Ave.JHB
    Tel. nr. 0115134051.
    Google search Biofuels SA

    .

    • Hey Charles

Yeah those people just change their name or business and start another online scam. You will find those offices are virtual offices.

  27. Thank you very muh lynn for the heads up. I was also almost tempted by biofuels venture but i thought the figures were too good to be true. All they talk about on their website is how to make money and they entice you with these big figures. Am glad i found your site just in time. And may please shed light about online trading, legite ones and possible part time businesses. Thanks for info on innofes

    • Shamiso it is a pleasure, I am so glad I could help you see that Biofuels scam for what it is.

Be careful with online trading, I have come across so many online trading scams that it would appear that there are way more scams that legitimate opportunities. There is one that I do know for a fact is not a scam and that is eToro. My husband used eToro for a few months and they do pay out.

I also have an account there, but I just play on the virtual account to keep track of what is happening with Bitcoin and this is a really cool feature, you can learn how to trade by playing on the virtual account before you deposit any money.

However my best recommendation to make money online is what I do – blogging. I have three websites that I blog on. This one, my SA Mommy Blog and my addiction blog, Living With Addiction.

Click here to find out how do you make money blogging.

  28. Hi Lynne
I cannot not believe that I fell for this Biofuels story. I paid the registration fee R5000 and the Distribution Registration fee of R20000. I have resigned from my job and currently serving notice to go start my distribution plant.
    what can I do?

    • OMG Gathrie, that is awful. I don’t know what to say… geez what a chunk of money. I advise that for starters you report it to the police and see what can be done about it. . Honestly I am not sure how it all works but please keep me updated. I am so so sorry that you got nailed. I really hope you get your money back and that these criminals get caught. These guys have run a few scams in South Africa.

    • Dear Gathrie,
What happened after you paid everything (R25,000)?
Have you signed a warehouse contract?
      Greetings.
      Charles Meyer

  29. Hello, I found a webpage http://www.biofueladventure.com with the exact same idea. When you download the application form the same green and blue drop logo comes up. I then looked further down and the banking details is affiliate solutions, which I then did a Google search and came to your page. The address is also the same as the page you reviewed. The good news is that they took some of your tips and changed the webpage.

    • The good news or the bad news Shanyn, depends on how you look at it. I am so tired of exposing scams because it is just so depressing. Almost every single “make money online” opportunity advertised online is a waste of time at best or a complete sham at worst.

I am focusing more on sharing information on how to market your website, how to’s and such like that.

I hope someone puts an end to this scammer, it is truly awful.

  30. Yes, I have signed a contract and they told me to wait for the plant to start producing diesel. They will contact to lease a warehouse for distribution.

    • Hey Gathrie
Were you issued clients after you signed the contract?

I remember their shady business model stated that you’d be issued a minimum of 10.

  31. Hi guys. I have just come across all of this and am so glad I did. I recently got scammed with a Binary Broker and lost R300 000! I have now been looking into a company called Biofuel Ventures. Although it seems the same company that Gathrie has now been dealing with. They want me to pay R5000 and then a further R20 000. The next step is the sourcing of the warehouse. They give PDF files on selected areas across SA and also advise that they provide an already waiting client base for you so there is no advertising or marketing since you will just be the Distributor. I am definitely not going anywhere near them after having read this entire thread. Am so sorry for those of you who have already been scammed. It kinda sux that we have to learn from other people’s misfortune. Although having said that, I would love to educate anybody interested on binary options scams and would love to save others from the stress and nightmare I had during the course of having lost my R300 000.

      • Hi lynne..am about about to start to trade so i need help on which trustful brokers i can use here in South africa maybe 2 to 3 the ome you prefer

        • Are you planning on doing online trading? Then I suggest you try out eToro. My husband traded using them and he made some money plus they pay out. Other than them I don’t feel I can recommend anyone based on the fact that I have not had much experience with trading and I have not personally tried any trading company that I can recommend.

  32. my friend just deposited 5000 she is so excited about this, they said she will be interviewed in 7 to 9 working days after that she is given 30 days to pay 20000,my goodness I a. so worried about her

  33. I received an email from an anonymous in which many others were copied. This person is warning everyone that this is a scam. This person reckons that over 300 people have paid over the 25k. I have asked a lot of questions and helped distribute this email as well. I suddenly received a call to confirm a meeting tomorrow at 14H00 so lets see what happens. Personally I think its a sham since a lot just does not make sense at all.
Now heres the issue I have. Reading this page, it seems that it has been known for some time that its a sham so howcome people are still getting conned as recent as last week. Is there no warning system or Website that one could go to (that everyone knew about) to warn the unsuspecting?

    • Hey Kevin

Yeah I have heard that lots of people have been conned by this scam, it is so sad. Something really needs to be done about all these online scams. From what I can see it is so hard to monitor and then it is also hard to pin the person down. There are so many people that start one scam and as soon as people start catching on they just shut down the website and another one almost exactly the same pops up and they manage to nail a whole new bunch of people.

Kevin please come back and update here about the meeting since my website is ranking really high for exposing this scam so hopefully lots of people will take due diligence and do some research before handing over any money!

The best thing to do for anyone interested in signing up for anything online is to research that opportunity properly. Hopefully lots of money and tears will be saved that way.

    • Hi Kevin, Just to answer some of your questions. When I discovered Biofuel adventures via the web, the first thing that I noticed, was their spelling and grammar errors in their articles. That was my first clue. Then we called their office. I wanted to speak to the Boss and the lady that answered the telephone told me that I could ask her what I needed to know. I asked her for contact details of companies that they would be supplying bio fuel to. Her responses was, that she could not give me those details as they were confidential. I said that I wanted to make sure that the contracts that they promised to us was ligit. It was then that I knew something was fishy. I have done a lot of research on bio fuel, and have discovered that it does cause damage to vehicles and parts need to be replaced on a regular basis. Hence, my interest in bio fuel as diminished. How can people be warned about internet scams – research the company, talk to them or go see them which is better and see for yourself. That is the only way.

      • Bev thanks for sharing your experience. It really is vital to check out companies that you find online due to the huge amount of scams, especially when it is an opportunity to make money online. I have found that the general rule is that if any website says you can make money then first assume it is a scam and then try to prove that it is not, there are so many scams it is just plain scary.

Like you say a very good thing to look out for is spelling errors. It is amazing how many people don’t pick up on this. A massive, successful and professional company will not have spelling and grammar errors on their website!

  34. Yes beware! A few years ago I had invested a very large sum of cash in Biofuel company in Durban and never saw any returns. The directors/owners just closed up and disappeared.I was not the only person who invested.Millions of Rands were lost.Maybe it is the same guys who have started their scam again.

    • I have no idea about that one, but very possibly the same people. I know the person doing this has done a good number of scams!

  35. Hi Lynne

Won’t you please have a look at these 3 online business opportunities:
    1. IPI Franchise – home inspection agency by Skybridge Solar Consulting & engineering (Costs about 40k)
    2. eLiqours Franchising for sale (R199 000)
    3. Logos Health Centre by GMKGroup

Thanking so much for the sterling work you are doing for this community.

Sending you lots of love and light 🙂 🙂

    • It is a pleasure Orlane. I have just answered on your other comment.

I think you need to be looking at what YOU want to be doing and not what other people are offering. You can start off your own online business without much investment at all and do exactly what you want to do.

I am so over all these so called opportunities because it is not really your business is it even if it is not a scam, which chances are it is.

    • Hi Orlane, did you check this IPI frenchise just came across it today. Lynne you are a star for such a blog

  36. guys the these guys are still scaming peaple last week i attended a workshop with other small business owners and we had to introduce the nature of our business and he said he was supplying bio diesel and he was looking for funding to secure a warehouse i spoke to him and it sounded like a good idea then i went home and researched and this is what i got he also paid 25k for registration i called them the lady called Petty answered and told me the same story however their banking details are :better fuel PTY Ltd and it Ned bank this time i checked the company its was liquidated long time ago! bio fuel venture!!!! thank you guys

    • Wow I almost fell for these fraudsters. I infact called them and tried to set up an appointment to see their operations. I smelled a rat when the admin lady (or whoever she is) said they were fully booked for appointments till mid-June and I should phone then to set up one, but insisted that before they can set up the appointment, I must first register and pay the R10 000 deposit, thereafter R25 000 upon “approval”. How could I pay such sums without seeing who I am dealing with in person, seeing the product that I will distributing and verifying that my investment is in safe hands? People please beware!!!

      • You really are fortunate that you were wary. There are a lot of people that have fallen for it and lost a lot of money which it terribly sad. This guy is a serial scammer and I am sure he is just starting a new scam as soon as this one has run its course.

And thank you for taking the time to share your experience so that others can read about it.

  37. Hi Lynne

Thanks for the reviews cause you helping us so much. I almost went to these guys and i believed everything. I called the lady and they told you need to pay R15000 rand and a R125000 but you start working round August next year.So i wont going to putting my effort to get the business.

Can you please check for me this site LGT Business partner project. These guys says you put in 6900 and on the 3rd month you will see you return on that money, starting at 165 rand the first of the 3 months and on the 24 month you will be getting a total of 4000 rand going on. Just i want to be sure if they are legit before going with the investment .

    Thank you.

    • Aphiwe I had a quick look at their website and I wouldn’t touch that if I were you. The website looks like it was set up by a five year old and it is so unprofessional. Look at their page that gives their offices? OMG no!

Seriously stop searching for ways to make money online, almost everything you see will be a scam. If you want to make money online set up your own website and learn how to make money from a blog or create an online affiliate store or something like that. Otherwise you are just going to keep running into scams!

  38. Hi Lynn. I think I have also lost R5k through this better fuels venture. I did pay in the registration. My gut feeling was that this business wasn’t legitimate but I was willing to take the risk. These kinds of businesses really need to be taken to book as they are defrauding the masses out there. This better fuels company looks dodge. I see they are using the same logo as the company you had reviewed. I sent them an email requesting my money back, i am sure it is long gone by now. Will await their revert. Luckily I picked up your thread before investing more cash in this bogus business, which is the additional R20k. Thank you for your blog & keep exposing them.

    • Oh geez I am so sorry to hear that Khotso, losing money to a scam is not nice at all. I am so glad that you saw my post before giving them more money!
Yes I doubt you will be getting a response back from them, they are serial scammers.

  39. People just read what they post on their website / in their pdf’s, they contradict themselves, how can they need 20 distributors for the Durban area if 1 Distributor services a 50km radius??
Unfortunately there are to many scams like this out there because South Africa has no regulation for things like this and the courts couldn’t even be bothered with it.
There are ways to earn money online, but not without work.
Binary Options are a scam in the first place as no actual transaction is done on the Stockmarket, the binary brokers themselves give you the price which is good for them, not for you, the normally let you win a couple of times in the beginning so you start to think it works and add more money, and then suddenly you only loose.
The only real thing which I found to make “easy” money, is to invest your time and learn how to trade forex, I trade my self for 8 years now and for the past 5 years make my living out of it.

its not a quick buck, but a sustainable way to earn money.

    • Hey Ingo

Yes with a bit of investigating it is very clear that Indufuels is a big time scam. Binary options are often very dodgy, but then again forex trading can also be very risky. I personally wouldn’t recommend that as a way to make an income since there is so much risk. My personal feeling is that if you are trying to make money online don’t put your money into something where you can lose!

My husband tried eToro and he made some really good money for a while and then he lost some too.

  40. Lynne
Thank you for this. I guess I’m so tired of working for someone this sounded like a great opportunity until I clicked a link which lead me to this article. My question is why are these people getting away with this? Why arnt the police doing anything about it?

    • Well I think our police here in South Africa are swamped with crime and this is online crime, I am sure it is harder to catch the culprits. I do wish that they would catch them and lock them up, they seem to be having free reign and just conning people without any difficulty!

  41. Omg……my brother- in- law attended a workshop where they explained about someone in Durban who is making millions….he was so convinced…he even convinced me….my gut just told me to do research first….how can it cost R25000.00 to start a franchise…that will make u a millionaire over night…. Most legal franchises require at least one million …..thank u for ur blog ..u HV opened my eyes..my brother is going to be so shocked when I tell him this…

  42. Wow, my friend was about to transfer the money to Biofuel Venture – he already signed and submitted the contract last week. I suggested he waits 10 minutes to give me a chance to Google them. Initially I found nothing substantial to confirm this is a scam…until I found your review. Thank you and everyone who commented for saving his last savings!!!

  43. Hi

It has been very interesting reading your comments. I am currently looking into a company advertised as SA Fuel Ventures where they promise share profits of R2.50 per litre and other promises of 30 trucks that you can fill up per month. There calculations promise between R125,000 and R500,00 per month. I have not yet registered on their site to the other details but would appreciate it if anyone else can share any other information they have on them.

    • Oh my gosh, just the name makes me think it is the same scam. This one started out as Indufuels and then they changed the name to Biofuels. Seriously what sort of business venture is it when they are promising you to make R500k per month? Sounds like a scam to me, I would never invest.

  44. Hi Lynne,
These guys are still at it, I have paid the R5000 in March. I saw your post this week and I called them asking about the rumors and they deny them. It seems that they will be scamming people further since they are promising people that the biodiesel plant will start producing in September. Unfortunately I wont be paying the R20k that they want for the so called “management fee”. I would like to send you all their communication sent to me, so that you can proceed to help others about to fall for the biofuel venture scheme.
This is their latest website, same logo and everything http://www.dieselsa.com/index.html

    • Hi Henry, yes I am sure they are still at it! Thanks for sharing their new website address, I hope it helps more people be aware of them.

  45. I did check this opportunity once some time back.It made me think of a biofuels company [now,I believe is non existant] in which I had invested R200K and lost it all within a few months of investing.

  46. This scam is ridiculous they are now advertising BIO DIESEL sales where you make R250 000 – R500 000 per month, oh and I almost forgot. They are now trading as Diesel South Africa, but using the same old water drop badge/emblem the used with the other names. Application fees of R2500 and then Registration fees of R15000 and some or other fee of R1200. These people, who ever they are, must be making a load of money off of people how are blinded by their lies.

    • The owner of this scam is involved in a murder case Alex – it really is scary. And yes he just changes the name of the scam and a few details then carries on. It’s shocking really.

    • ALEX the figures you have just mentioned are exactly as the on they have at SA FUEL GROUP . Thank you guys i nearly got scammed
