Introduction: What is Get Cash For Surveys?

Get Cash for Surveys claims you can make good money every month working only a few hours a day. This is a great example of what I would classify as a possible scam website. Firstly they promise that you can make thousands every month for very little work (scam alert delux!) and secondly you have to pay $37 to register with them.

Unfortunately I won’t be testing this myself as I am not in the mood to just throw away $37 for the sake of proving for certain that this website is a scam!

Let’s have a look at what they claim and what they offer.

Here is a screenshot of a lovely fake looking cheque saying he makes hundreds of dollars each week. This is really not very likely! I have been doing online surveys with a reputable company for 4 years and I can tell you right now you don’t get paid that amount of money.

what is Get Cash for Surveys

Here we have a screenshot showing the surveys done and the amount paid. As mentioned I have been doing paid surveys with a legitimate company for years. The going rate for answering a survey is approximately R20 ($1.60). Nobody is going to be paying you to to $20 for a survey!

is get cash for surveys a

They have a hurry now coupon that is ONLY valid today. Why don’t you check tomorrow too, because everything is the same except the date! This is to try and get you to pay quickly before you change your mind (ie before you catch on that it is a scam!)

Get cash for surveyHave a look at this screenshot below. This one really confuses me. They don’t take any commission from your earnings so they charge a registration fee. But the survey partners give you $50 when you do your first paid survey? Why don’t they take that $50 from the “survey partners” and have free membership? It makes no sense whatsoever to me. Why would the survey partners give $50? That on top of the hefty $20 they are supposedly also paying you to do a survey? So essentially they are saying for your first survey you could get paid up to $70. Does that really sound real to you?

get cash for surveys refund policyAnd here are some awesome benefits you will get, and they are valued at $89.95. What exactly is valued at $89.95, I am confused.

The free car you get to drive and get paid for? So I get a free car and I get $1000 a month to drive it. That is really cool! Who do you think is going to give that to me? Toyota? BMW?

Think about this, really think about it!

Exactly how does one get paid hundreds of dollars per month to read emails. I certainly don’t have a need in my company for anyone to do that. What emails will I want people to read for me? The getting paid to write also looks quite dodgy. You don’t need any skills, perhaps you don’t even need to know how to spell. They did say you don’t need any skills right? So you can get paid up to $30 an hour to write and you don’t even know how to spell. Who needs school anymore?

added benefits get cash for surveys

And this is my favorite bit. They have an affiliate program. So if you refer people to them to sign up for paid surveys you can earn even more money! What exactly is their product that they are selling? I was under the impression that this is people filling in surveys to make cash? Why would they want more people filling out surveys? This tells me their “product” is you! They want you to pay over your $37 and nothing more.

affiliate is get cash for surveys a

If you look at the pages on their website there is no option for anyone to comment on their website. Why do you think that is? They have no direct email address, office address or phone numbers. They only have a contact form on their website. If this company takes your money and does not provide what they have promised there is absolutely no way for you to contact them directly.

If you have nothing to hide why hide your contact details and have no comment options on your website.

Is Get Cash for Surveys a Scam?

As mentioned I won’t throw away $37 to prove to myself that this is a scam. I am 100% sure this is not the way to go if you want to make money online! Everything on this website screams it is a scam.

get cash for surveys is a scam

My Verdict for Get Cash For Surveys

I can’t say this enough, stay away from this website. This is a scam and you will lose your money! I have come across a number of people saying they have been scammed by this website, their money was taken and they can’t get a response to get their money back. Another website that truly stinks.

Are you tired of scams or working online for pennies? Check out my #1 Recommendation!

  1. Hi, the first thing I noticed was 0/0 and thought ‘wow’.

I have heard a few people mention cash for surveys before but never really looked into it. I do agree with you that if someone claims that you can make thousands for only a little bit of work then one should be cautious.

Besides, if it works so well then they could just give it away and ask for the fee when you have earn t it (which will be quick according to them so the risk should be worth it for them). $1.60 would sound more realistic and I bet that would take about 30 mins to 60 mins to complete?

I love your use of screen shots here, it makes everything more clear to understand. I don’t quite understand what your getting at with the $50 as that goes over my head. Guess this scam would have worked on me?

Reading the last parts on this article it seems to me to be a bit of a ponzi scheme? Nice read, thanks!

    • LOL Dillon, that is exactly it with the $50 – it makes no sense whatsoever! They are claiming that you must pay $37 to register with them right? Then as soon as you have done your first survey (which you can get paid up to $20) for you will also receive $50! So why then charge the $37 in the first place, why don’t they keep the $50 instead and offer this service free?

  2. Get Cash For Surveys sounds like a total rip off for your money to me. You have a very valid points that display they offer absolutely nothing for the money they want to take from anybody they can dazzle with the site presentation they’ve put together. They have contradictions throughout there page as you have pointed out and make many false claims of what they are offering for you to get.

    • Hi Travis

Thanks for your feedback. As stated it might NOT be a scam, but I am not willing to waste my money to prove it! Absolutely everything they say on their website is dubious!

      Lynne

  3. Gary, this is some really good information on an organisation the tries to make out that you can make fortunes doing little or no work whatsoever.
Just one question, what is the best way to make money online if this isn’t the way to proceed?
Is it true that you can build a business for free with Wealthy Affiliate that will give you a passive income?

    • Hi Terry

I would definitely recommend Wealthy Affiliate as the way forward. There are ways to make money online and I will be sharing more reviews but the best opportunity is Wealthy Affiliates and to test it out costs nothing.

      Lynne

  4. i agree 100% there’s no money to be made with surveys.

    • Hi Jen.
Most of them are scams, and I agree you can’t make real money. However there are some honest and legit ones if you want to make pocket money! Check out my Answered Insight review for one. I make enough to have a treat every few months 🙂

  5. Hi Lynne,

I can say that you have seen few survey sites yourself like me,lol. Throrogh review provided here, I have seen it as well, and never bother to pay for it, there sales page looks scammy, their proofs looks scammy, and you have bought few points very well that if they thousands of dollars why they take $37, and what’s the point to have a 60 Days Money Back Guarantee, show it for free to people, and they will not ask for anything else, I believe it is better to stay away from surveys and look for something much better and sustainable.

    Thanks
    Kunal

    • Hi Kunal, I can see from your reply you have also tried the paid surveys route! All in all a very disappointing experience and it has been not worth my time.

  6. Get Cash For Surveys, as far as I can tell, is a typical “cookie cutter” survey scheme. Fake screenshots of big checks and “pie in he sky” promises that they simply cannot deliver on.

There are millions of people out there who desperately need addition income and if these surveys paid what Get Cash For Surveys claims they paid, everybody would know about them. You cannot keep something like that a secret.

    • Hi Steve

Thanks for your feedback. That is exactly what I thought. If a paid survey website is legitimate surely you would immediately see it? No need for flashy promises or images of wads of cash?

      Kind Regards

      Lynne

  7. You definitely explained the Cash for Survey’s scheme very well. The old adage s almost always true; if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. It would be great to stay home and take surveys online for thousands of dollars a month. Unfortunately, the world doesn’t work this way. Thanks for the heads up.

    • Hi Eric

I agree 100%! If earning money was so easy everyone would be doing it.

      Kind Regards

  8. Hi there.I must confess to you that just recently I was looking at earning cash for surveys.Times are not so good, so I saw a couple and I really wanted to join out of desperation.Somehow, something told to just wait and ‘bang’ I stumble across your review. Its a lifesaver, the offers I saw looked very similar to this one, maybe those might be legit, I don’t know. But, I think my mind is changed from moving in this direction to make money online.I can see that if we are emotionally involved, our decision becomes clouded. You have managed to break this down into common sense, which makes it soooo much easier to make a rational and sound decision.Thank You.

  9. I knew it was too good to be true. Thanks to people like you hopefully no one falls for this. I will definitely refer people to your site when I get the chance. Your articles are great and informative and I also like the format of your site. Good job!

  10. Thank you for this very helpful post! I was wondering about make money doing surveys schemes myself when I stumbled upon your post. Do you have a review on GlobalTestMarket as well? Thanks and keep up the great work!

    • Hi Gin

It is a pleasure. There are plenty of scams and time wasting websites when it comes to taking online surveys. Everyone asks me can you make money taking online surveys and my view is no, you can’t. If you want to know why then read this post.

I have heard of GlobalTestMarket but I haven’t tried them out yet. I will add that to my to do list and review them as soon as I can.

      Kind Regards
      Lynne

  11. always good to hear the other side of a story. Not the salesy part but the review. It looks like the way this is profitable for people is the upfront cost. Ponzi all over the place it looks like, am I right?

Better look for something that is really adding value, like a tool or a course…. hint 😉

    • Hi Dirk

I totally agree, most of these online survey companies are a waste of time… even the honest and legitimate ones don’t really equate to making any real money.

I think anyone wanting to make money online should do exactly what you suggested, look for a real online business opportunity. One that offers training and tools that will help you every step of the way. That is why I love the opportunity that is my #1 Recommendation.

      Kind Regards

      Lynne

  12. I tried one of these that didn’t have a cost associated with it and after a month realized that I was being rejected as a participant (usually after 20 minutes of survey questions) time after time.

I haven’t found one survey offering that isn’t a scam. I think that your post will do a lot of people good to read.

    • Hi Debra

I totally agree! Click here to read one of my latest posts on why I think you can’t make money taking online surveys.

      Kind Regards
      Lynne

  13. wow…I have been contacted by a few people about paid surveys and I’ve also come across a few of these sites myself…I could never figure out how they could be paying so much to do surveys…I used to conduct market research surveys as a job and my hourly rate was less as an employee than these companies are offering…nice to read your review and confirm my suspicions.

  14. Pretty! This has been a really wonderful article on ways to avoid scams online.

Thanks for providing this valuable information.

  15. Hi there! Some surveys online are legit, some are scam. But one thing is for sure, it pays a little. Great review about get cash for surveys! I agree with you that it is likely a scam. I myself have tried several surveys online but my effort is not paid enough. By the way, i read that you recommend wealthy affiliate. Can newbies understand it immediately?

    • Hi John

That has been my overall experience too, even the legit survey companies pay only a little.

Yes John, Wealthy Affiliate is great for newbies. You might find yourself a little overwhelmed with all the information in the beginning. As with starting anything new you will need some time and some practice. They will explain everything to you in amazing step by step video tutorials with tasks to complete afterwards. I can’t think of a better way to learn how to start your own online business.

It will certainly be a lot more profitable than online surveys!

      Kind Regards

      Lynne

  16. Hi Lynne,
Polls on the internet was always in my mind as one of the ways to make money working at home but I really do not get to do it and now even less thanks to the clarification that I find on your site. The worst thing about this page in reference looks very “trustful” and has two more options on two different languages on Clickbank. You think we should be wary of sites available on this affiliate company?
    renan

    • Hi Renan

I have honestly not looked into Clickbank before, however I have heard many mixed reviews about them. Some people say they are terrible and others say they are great. One thing I have noticed about Clickbank is that there are a lot of websites I have found terrible and they are affiliated with Clickbank…. I hope to soon take a good look at Clickbank and various other affiliate programs to share my experiences.

One thing I believe is that companies should conduct themselves with integrity and only associate with other trusted companies. So when I see a scam website associated with another website I immediately put them in the same basket. So the fact that Clickbank is associated with Get Cash for Surveys is for me a huge warning sign about Clickbank!

      Kind Regards

      Lynne

  17. Thanks for the review! Or should I say the scam review :o) I am really tired of all scams online such as get cash for surveys and all the others that claim you will make sooo much money with sooo little work. You are absolutely right when you say that it is a big scam alert when they say you will make a lot of money without having to invest much time first! Hope people read reviews like this one before they try these kind of scams! Thanks for sharing/ John

    • Hi John

Thanks for your feedback, I totally agree with you. There are so many places that advertise you will make loads of money with hardly any work. This just does not make sense to me at all. There is no such thing as making money by doing nothing!

Get Cash for Surveys is a good example of this. If it was so easy to make money taking online surveys everyone would be doing it and raving about it. Yet nobody is making money are they?

      Kind Regards

      Lynne

  18. I love it! Clean cut, concise, but precise details on the red flags you see and why they’re red flags. I wish there were more people out there as transparent about stuff like that… There’s too many of those sites out there unfortunately, glad to see whenever one is exposed. I’ll definitely keep those tips in mind… Keep up the good work!

    • Hi Peter

Thanks for your feedback and yes there are way too many red flags with Get Cash for Surveys! I hope to expose many more online scams on my website.

      Kind Regards

      Lynne

  19. Hi Lynne
Thank you for the very informative post. It will certainly keep me from going down this scam road. Do you ever promote any of the survey companies that you are with? I am just curious if they have an affiliate program as well or is that something that means scam.

    • Hi Jessica

Lots of them have affiliate programs yes, and that is often why you will find great reviews online for scams. I am currently not affiliated with any online survey companies simply because most of them appear to be scams at worst and at best time wasting opportunities. I find the ones that do have affiliate programs are scams because why would any survey company bother with affiliates when the earning potential is so low? It doesn’t make sense to me.

The really good survey companies I have come across don’t have affiliate programs. I am always interested in making money and always looking into ways to achieve this, however writing positive reviews on scams to make money is not one of my goals! I think that is a really low thing to do to someone. Check out my review on Mintvine for a good example of this!

I think affiliate marketing is great and of course I do it, but I will only affiliate with programs that I feel are 100% honest and legit.

      Kind Regards

      Lynne

  20. Hey Lynne,

Thanks for the heads up! I’ve always wondered about those things, and by now I think I’ve learned that if they are super in your face about it, it’s probably a scam. If they have a countdown to hurry and buy in, it’s definitely a scam!

    Good read, thanks again,

    Kyle

    • Hi Kyle

Thank you for visiting and I totally agree any count down definitely is a big sign that this is a scam!

      Kind Regards

      Lynne

  21. Hi,
That was really interesting to me the way you used to prove that those kind of suggestions are nothing more than just a big lie. and also like the use of screenshots there. I think this kind of scams become a serious problem nowadays and posts as yours are really necessary.
    Best wishes and good luck,
    Kaveh

    • Hi Kaveh

I am glad you found this review on Get Cash for Surveys helpful. I agree with you, there are so many scams and it is hard to sift through everything to find something that is honest and legitimate!

      Kind Regards

      Lynne

  22. looks kinda like a scam to me but its hard to tell i mean how do you know somethings not a scam.. I guess you would just half to try it out and see for sure but I’m not sure I’m willing to risk it. How can we know if these services are a scam or not

    • Hi Casey

That is exactly it, it is not worth the risk to try and check for sure if it is a scam. I’m certainly not going to put any money forward as they have many warning signs that it is a scam.

      Kind Regards

      Lynne

  23. Lynne,

I completely understand your take on this ‘program’, however, it is a little hard to take a look at the Clickbank affiliation and just deny it.

Clickbank is a reputable company, as I am sure that you are aware. I do agree that it sounds too good to be true. I can’t deny though, that I wish you would have spent the $37. to present more hardcore evidence of why this program is a scam.

Some things that are very rewarding are unbelievable to people, I do know this to be a fact. However your review does make me skeptical about it, so if that was your intention, you certainly achieved that end.

Will take more inventory on this product.

    Cheers,
    Shawn

    • Hi Shawn

Thanks for your feedback! The warning signs are all there for Get Cash for Surveys to be a scam. Yes I agree with you that I really should pay the $37 to “prove” that this is a scam and perhaps one day I will do that. Have a look at my post on Ways to Avoid Scams Online and you will see that the chances of this being a scam are so high it is not worth risking $37 on it.

If you check it out then let us know how it works for you.

      Kind Regards

      Lynne

  24. Hi Lynne,
This type surveys opportunity keeps promising good money when we join through them. The fact is, most surveys don’t pay as much as you expect. Sometime, you are not qualify for many of available offers.

I have only seen around $5 incentive for one piece of survey. It already takes 30 minutes of my time. I think it would be time consuming and can be boring. I would rather focus on Affiliate Business though. 🙂

    • Hi Edy

I agree with you on that one! The money you can make from surveys even if you find a great survey company is incredibly low.

Affiliate marketing is a much better way to go about earning money online. It will take a while to start generating income but you can make good money from it. If it is approached with the right mindset it can be very profitable. One must look at it that you are starting a new business, which will take time. You will need to invest yourself in it before you start making any money. I am not necessarily speaking about investing money, but rather your time.

      Kind Regards

      Lynne

  25. Hi Lynne,
Wow that’s the worst rating I’ve ever seen. You really rated 0 out of 100, lol that bad eh.

I’ve seen so many of these survey companies lately and I’m starting to think that everyone one of them is a scam. Have you seen any survey sites that are actually good? You mentioned that a general survey will pay 70 cents for one. If it take more than 2 or 3 minutes that would be alright, but I doubt that’s the case.

Theirs no way I would ever give this a shot because of your review Lynne but how long does it generally to do a survey in your experience?

    Thanks

    -Richard

    • Hey there Richard 🙂 So you noticed I am not very tolerant of online survey companies? Yes as a general rule I find them complete wastes of time. Many of them are downright scams, others are just trying to get your personal information to sell on to other people… and some are just time wasters.

If you want to try a good survey company have a look at Answered Insight or Opinion Outpost. They are genuine survey companies that don’t waste your time. I earn R20 (appr $1.49) per survey with Answered Insight and it usually takes me about 10 minutes per survey.

If you read my review for Opinion Outpost you will see that I didn’t fit their geographical requirements so I was kicked out, but I did manage to have a look at everything inside and it is totally legit!

  26. Hi Lynne
Just to add my own personal experience as a long-time survey taker.
You certiainly can make some money from taking surveys….but it can be a long process to make anything more than a few dollars.
Also the surveys you are offered depends on the demographic they are looking for in each survey (based on age, marital status, wether or not you have children etc….) So a lot depends on how much they want your personal demographic.

I certainly think that it’s madness to pay a company to tell you where these companies are – just Google “paid surveys” and you will see a number of places where you can get this information for free….NEVER pay a third party company for this information.

I hope this helps some of your readers to make a more informed choice…

    Warm regards

    Kevin

    • Hi Kevin, thanks for sharing your personal experience as a survey taker, much appreciated. My personal experience so far has been that there is nothing more than a few cents to be made. However I think my geographical location counts against me big time, so I am knocked out on demographics.

Thanks for the tips, I’m sure it will help a lot of my readers.

  27. I have done a lot of surveys and was lucky to even make a dollar for 10 minutes of work. The website you reviewed looks like a clear scam to me. So much hype and big promises has never worked well in my experience.

What survey websites would you recommend?

    • Hi Alec, yes this one is not good reflection on what is out there! If you are wanting to go the survey route I would recommend trying out Opinion Outpost. Not great money, but this is the one website that does not mess you around at all in any way.

If you want to try out loyalty programs check out Qmee and Swagbucks. Once again not great money, but they don’t mess you around and are real, honest and legitimate.

Something that I found really nice for extra money is User Testing, this is testing websites. Good money per test, but there are not a lot of tests! So this is not reliable income either.

If you want to start your own online business, have a look at my review of Wealthy Affiliate. This is definitely the way I recommend you go!

  28. Well after seeing your initial rating on the opprotunity I realized that this was probably not the best opportunity to sign up with – it sounds shocking!
I never understand why these scam companies actually try and make you pay before you earn – there are so many opportunities to earn with surveys for free! A shame really – I wonder how many have taken up this scam and paid out

    • Hi Chris. Yes it is shocking. I’ve only come across complaints for Get Cash for Surveys. I have not seen anyone saying they have personally had a good experience there.

  29. Hi Lynne,

Thanks for providing the detailed review about Get Cash for Surveys. There are numerous surveys sites are there and it is very difficult to find out even one that can pay you which is actually worth your time.
Lynne how would you think about whole surveys industry and your favourable experience with any survey site.

    Thanks.

    • H Khan, well the truth is that I have not found any survey site that pays enough. I regularly use Answered Insight and they are great, no time wasting there. But even so they only send maybe 2 surveys a month and the pay is R20 per survey(about $1.40). On the one side it only takes me a few minutes to do the surveys which is great but really there is no way to make much money is there?

I consider survey companies to be a waste of time. I have heard some people say they are signed up with multiple survey companies and they make around $400 – $500 per month. However I can’t seem to find any great survey companies and the people that say they are earning this amount don’t give any feedback on who they are signed up with!

Opinion Outpost are good too, but once again only a few surveys a month.

I think if anyone is wanting to make money online to really try something else, just my opinion!

  30. Hi,
Thanks for that enlightening article. The survey approach in that website seems a scam. As you put it in another page that if something looks too good to be true it probably is.

The $37 will be lost! So we ought to be very careful and not be scammed. Affiliate marketing on the other hand involves working hand and later getting success. Let no one be scammed.

  31. Lynne,
Thank you for taking the time to get right about cash for surveys. Many people are scam into these businesses and people need to know the truth.

Unfortunately, I was scam years back with a company like the one you mention, so I have first-hand knowledge and have no interest in them. I hope your website catches the eyes of the masses so that people would not fall prey to these scams. Thank you for posting.

    Cheers,
    David

    • Hi David

Sorry to hear that you were scammed by a similar scheme, it really is sad because all most of us want is a real way to earn money online without being conned!

  32. Literally every time I see a Get Paid To Do Surveys site, I always think it’s a scam and it’s not worth your time.

You mentioned that you’ve been working for a legit survey company, so I guess there are still some light.

One thing though, where I live (Lithuania), most of these companies don’t offer proper surveys to fill out. I remember when I was a kid, I was always trying out these sites with no luck.

    • Hi Julius

Yes I also find that my geographical area (South Africa) often knocks me out of survey opportunities! Luckily the survey company (Answered Insight)I referred to is in my country which is awesome. There are not a lot of surveys that get sent to me but I do earn a little bit extra every now and then.

You can also try Clixsense, which is a pay to click site as well as surveys, offers and tasks. I’ve earned a little bit there and that is in USD which really suits me with our weak exchange rate!

The problem is that there really are very few legitimate places that don’t waste your time! Good luck, I hope you find a great way to earn some extra income.

Oh and if you want to start your own business and earn some real money instead of just pocket money, check out my Wealthy Affiliate University review.

  33. OMG! Yes. The “get cash for surveys” IS a scam! I wish that I would’ve found this website prior to actually signing up a little while back. It’s totally ridiculous! Their surveys take so long to answer and once you’re done, you’ve made practically nothing, if anything at all. I still can’t believe that they are still around!

    • Hi SJB

Yes it seems there are so many scams that are around for a very long time without anyone doing anything about them. Then when they are exposed and the website removed another website basically the same website just with another name pops up almost immediately.

I’m sorry to hear that you fell for this.

  34. We need more eye openers like this. I was once a victim of these surveys and am very regretful to have took part on those websites. People nowadays are slowly leaning towards online profit which is good, but so many scams out there that many led to believe that there is actually no hope of getting income from the net.

    • Hi Paul

I am so sorry you fell for one of these survey scams. Unfortunately there are so many scams and not so many opportunities to earn real money.

If you are keen to earn money online doing surveys then rather try out Clixsense. They have surveys, offers, ads to click and tasks. You will never earn huge amounts in my opinion but it can add up nicely over time.

  35. Get Cash for Surveys sounds like a huge scam to me too! Why anyone would pay $37 before getting paid a penny is a mystery to me but I suppose there are some pretty naive people out there. I have met people who have made money doing online surveys but they never had to pay anything upfront.

    • Yes I am registered with quite a lot of survey companies and I have never been asked to pay anything!

I find making money with online surveys is slow and little pay, but when you are not busy with something else it can be nice to do some to add a little extra income.
