5 Youtube Income

You can start a Youtube channel to compliment your blog and add another way to get more traffic, but you can also monetize your Youtube channel and make money from people that watch your Youtube videos. Lots of people only do video blogging which is called vlogging.

You can also charge companies for product placements in your Youtube videos too.

Since you are writing anyway you can create ebooks and sell them to your readers. 1. Thank you for this information!
I knew some of the topics you showed but not all of them.
I will surely implement some of those.
I think its great that there are people like you with this kind of information. There are many people that have a great set of skills or services, but don’t know how to exploit them.

Thanks again, and I wish you the best !

    • It is a pleasure Santiago, there are more ways too if you want to get creative! I also make money on my South African mommy blog from baby competitions, the moms vote via sms and I get part of that income!

I have to say that making money with blogging is awesome, I really enjoy it.

  2. Hi, Steve. Great information here. I first started blogging around eight years ago, and at the time, I never imagined how far blogging would advance. I have two questions. I’m not active on social media. I don’t have a Facebook account, and I’ve pretty much abandoned my Twitter. Is it possible to monetize a blog successfully without active social media accounts? Also, how much should a blogger charge for a guest to post on her site?

    • Hi Ebony

I know a number of people that blog without making use of social media and they make money, so I am sure that it is possible to make good money without making use of social media. However social media gives you such an amazing platform to reach a new audience and to creative more authority and trust for your name and your website. In addition to that having social media accounts associated with your website and having good social signals can increase your website ranking.

The way I see things is that if something can help progress my blog and get me more traffic and better rankings I am going to go with it and give it a try. I have a great social following on Facebook and Twitter for my mommy blog and I get loads of traffic.

Regarding guest posts you can set whatever price you want, its your website after all. I think the price would really depend on your website domain authority, your niche, how much traffic you have and also your social media channels since you can include social shares in your offering 🙂

Have a look around at websites that have similar stats to you and see what they are charging.

  3. Thanks for the info!

Just a note though that Amazon doesn’t accept people from a few states into their affiliate program, due to tax issues. My state, Rhode Island, is one of them unfortunately! So I’d love to see some other options up here. I’m looking into other ideas, like EBay and Clickbank, but I’d love to know if you have experience with other affiliate programs.

    • Yes depending on where you are you wont be able to apply for some affiliate programs, but seriously there are so many affiliate programs out there that you will never have a problem finding one. Amazon may be the biggest store with an affiliate program but it is not the only one.

I am affiliated with a number of online stores in my country, South Africa and a lot of international stores too.

I suggest you Google your “niche + affiliate program” and see what comes up. There are also affiliate companies such as CJ Affiliate, Shareasale, Clickbank, Rakuten, Avangate…

Seriously don’t let not being able to be an Amazon affiliate hold you back.

  4. Josh Webfluential is awesome, I have had a few jobs there and it has been great fun. It certainly can’t hurt to register with them since it is free. It took a few months before I got a job but I have had a number since then.

I truly believe the best is to create a number of different income streams. Not all of them will be steady so it certainly helps to have as many as possible.
